122 past and present OHL players competing in AHL Playoffs
Ontario Hockey League

122 OHL players past and present are battling for AHL supremacy in the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs that continue this weekend.

OHL alumni represent over 25% of all players competing in post-season action this season.

Past OHL standouts such as Joseph Blandisi (Barrie Colts/Albany Devils), Connor Brown (Erie Otters/Toronto Marlies) and Cole Cassels (Oshawa Generals/Utica Comets) join 2015-16 OHL talent in Mike Amadio (North Bay Battalion/Ontario Reign), Michael Dal Colle (Kingston Frontenenacs/Bridgeport Sound Tigers) and Vili Saarijarvi (Flint Firebirds/Grand Rapids Griffins) in the quest for the Calder Cup.

Last year, nine OHL graduates including three members of the 2014 OHL Champion Guelph Storm in Justin Auger, Ryan Horvat and Nick Ebert hoisted the Calder Cup with the Manchester Monarchs, the former AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings.

All 16 AHL clubs feature OHL graduates with the AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Marlies (17) and the affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, the Ontario Reign (16) leading the way.

A total of 13 players that competed in the OHL during the 2015-16 season are included on AHL Playoff rosters.
