Wolves’ Captain Kyle Capobianco will join the Arizona Coyotes AHL affiliate, the Tuscon Roadrunners this week for the remainder of their season. Capobianco completed his fourth season with the Sudbury Wolves where he led the team from the back end with 10 goals, 37 assists and 47 points in 65 games this season.
The Mississauga native was drafted by the Wolves 7th overall in the 2013 OHL Priority Draft. Since then, he has become a leader on the Wolves both on and off the ice. He played a career 254 regular season OHL games and notched 27 goals as well as added 114 assists. In June 2015, Kyle was drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the third round of the NHL draft and signed an entry level contract with them in the fall of 2016.
“The Sudbury Wolves Organization has been great to play for over the past 4 seasons and has become a second home for me and my family,” Capobianco said. “I don’t plan to be a stranger and will miss the friends and teammates, but I’m excited about this next adventure and plan to make the most of it.”
The Sudbury Wolves would like to wish Kyle all the best with Tuscon for the remainder of this season and the Arizona Coyotes. He has had a positive impact on the community and the team and he will be welcomed back anytime as his hockey career unfolds.
