Lyszczarczyk has Stand-Out Rookie Season

Alan Lyszczarczyk played in 67 games and recorded 50 points for the Sudbury Wolves. The first-year forward was signed as a free-agent by the Wolves last August. Alan finished the season 7th overall in rookie scoring in the OHL.

Lyszczarczyk also had the 4th highest total in assists among OHL Rookies as the youngster’s vision and passing skills are exceptional. Lyszczarczyk played in the Czech junior league last season and was able to transfer his offensive skills into a much more challenging league this season in Sudbury.

Since the year 2000, Alan is only the fifth Wolves’ rookie forward to score 50 points in his first OHL season with the other Wolves’ rookies including:

Dmitry Sokolov – 52 points – 2015-16
John McFarland – 52 points – 2008-09…..currently with the Florida Panthers AHL
Benoit Pouliot – 65 points – 2004-05……currently with the Edmonton Oilers NHL
Bobby Chaumont – 50 points – 2001-02

It is expected that Lyszczarczyk will continue his scoring ways next year as the Wolves’ line-up will feature a number of offensively-skilled forwards.

Lyszczarczyk is currently en route to Romania to paricipate in the World U18 Pool B tournament event with Team Poland.
