Nine Wolves Prospects Named To OHL Gold Cup Rosters

The Sudbury Wolves would like to congratulate nine of their newly drafted players who were named on Tuesday to rosters for the OHL Gold Cup. The OHL Gold Cup will take place in Kitchener, ON from May 3rd – 7th.

Kosta Manikis and Liam Ross will suit up together for team GTHL Blue, while Blake Murray, Isaak Phillips and Drew Wawrow will play together for OMHA Black. Brodie McDougall and Anthony Tabak will play for GTHL Red and Joe Mazur and Levi Siau will represent Team NOHA and Team HNO respectively.

The OHL Gold Cup is an annual showcase event featuring top under-16 talent in Ontario. As part of the Hockey Canada Program of Excellence, select players from the OHL Gold Cup will be invited to attend the National Under-17 Selection Camp, where they will have a chance to compete with other top talent from across Canada, to earn a spot at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

Wolves’ Fans will get their first chance to see these players and the rest of the 2017 OHL Draft Class the weekend of April 22nd when the Wolves host their Orientation Camp at Countryside Arena. Check back to SudburyWolves.com as details will be released in the coming week.
