Pilon Twins Make Commitment to Wolves

The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to announce that DARIAN and DRAKE PILON have made a commitment to the Wolves organization by signing Standard Player Agreements.

“We are extremely excited to announce the signings of Darian and Drake,” noted Sudbury Wolves General Manager Barclay Branch. “They are high character players that possess a unique blend of skill, grit, and determination and their hard working approach will be a welcome addition to our line-up.”

The Sault Ste. Marie natives were picked up by the Wolves on waivers last summer, but returned to the Soo Thunderbirds for the 2015-16 season, where both Darian and Drake had stand-out seasons for the Thunderbirds and helped contribute to their NOJHL championship and a spot at the Dudley Hewitt Cup.

“It’s incredible to be able to play hockey for such an amazing organization with such a rich past of great hockey players,” said Darian. “Accomplishing this together makes it that much better. We have a strong relationship, a very competitive relationship. We are extremely happy that all of our hard work is paying off and look forward to the challenges ahead,” added Drake.

The twins will suit up for today’s exhibition game as the Wolves host the North Bay Battalion at the Sudbury Arena in pre-season play at 2:00pm. Tickets are $10 for all ages and are available at the Sudbury Arena Box Office or online at greatersudbury.ca/tickets.
