Toronto Celebrates Sudbury Event Raises over $60,000 for Local Charities

(Sudbury, ON) Three Greater Sudbury charities received an extra boost this morning thanks to significant donations from the Toronto Celebrates Sudbury fundraiser held November 9th. The event, which was held at the Globe Bistro in Toronto, raised over $60,000, which will be shared between Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival, NEO Kids Foundation and Science North.

The Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club sponsored the annual event.

Toronto Celebrates Sudbury was born from an idea to bring together current and former Sudburians to raise funds for local Sudbury charitable organizations while having some fun doing it. The first event was held in 2011 in Toronto’s Distillery District. Since its inception the event has generated over $150,000 for Sudbury charitable organizations.
