Wolves Acquire Troy Lajeunesse from Sting

(Sudbury, ON)  The Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club are excited to welcome overage forward, from Dokis Ontario, Troy Lajeunesse, to the pack from the Sarnia Sting in exchange for the team’s 4th round draft pick in 2021.  Troy is a speedy left shot forward that will add experience and scoring with 44 goals and 63 assists for 107 points with over 190 games played in the Ontario Hockey League.  He also has 3 goals and 2 assists in 16 career playoff games.  His point production improved in each of his three seasons in the OHL with last season being his best where he scored 18 goals and added 22 assists for 40 points in 65 games.

“Troy is an excellent skater and a very high compete player who has earned everything he has received in the OHL by simply outworking his opponents.  With the injuries that we have suffered early in the season, it was important to be able to add Troy to our roster and we look forward to having him bring his high compete to our team this season,” said Rob Papineau, VP Hockey Operations and General Manager.

“I am really looking forward to getting back up north and playing closer to home,” said Lajeunesse shortly after the trade was confirmed by league officials. “I grew up in between North Bay and Sudbury and always enjoyed playing up north and can’t wait to hit the ice and play Wednesday in North Bay for my first game with the team is exciting!”
