Wolves Acquire Two Third Round Picks

(Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Wolves announce forward Alexey Lipanov has been traded to the Kitchener Rangers in exchange for Oshawa’s 3rd round pick in 2021 and Kingston’s 3rd round pick in 2022.

Alexey was acquired from the Barrie Colts in January 2018 at the trade deadline and played half a season for the Wolves.

The Sudbury Wolves would like to wish Alexey the best of luck in Kitchener and with his future hockey career with the Tampa Bay Lightning and thank him for his time in Sudbury.

The Wolves maintain their 2 import cards for Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and Zack Malik.  Luukkonen is 2-0 in 2 starts this season and Malik is expected to be clear from off-season surgery in early November.

The Wolves will start a three-game road trip this weekend tonight when they visit the Niagara IceDogs in St. Catharines. Fans can follow the Wolves on the road with the live play-by-play on CKLU 96.7 or mixlr.com/sudburywolves
