Wolves Host Colts Friday

The Sudbury Wolves will look to keep up their strong play as of late as they host Central division rivals, the Barrie Colts on Friday at 7:05pm. The Wolves were able to gather a point in an overtime loss in the Soo on Wednesday last week against the high-flying Greyhounds. After the mid-week game in the Soo, the Wolves picked up two big points in a thrilling comeback and overtime victory against the Niagara IceDogs on home ice Friday, before falling one goal short in a tough loss Saturday night against the Mississauga Steelheads, 4-3.

The Barrie Colts are led up front by 19-year-old forward Lucas Chiodo who has 7 goals and 12 assists for 19 points in 16 games. The Colts line-up also features Tampa Bay prospect Alexey Lipanov and 2017 1st overall OHL Priority selection Ryan Suzuki.

Friday’s game is sponsored the Northern Life who will be awarding one lucky row with prize packages. Fans are also encouraged to arrive early as Friday also marks the annual Service Appreciation game with a special pre-game ceremony.

Tickets are on-sale now at the Sudbury Arena Box Office and online at Fans are encouraged to skip the box office line and save time with WOLVES WEB WEDNESDAY.   All day this Wednesday and every Wednesday, fans can purchase their tickets online and save the service fees!

Following Friday’s game, the Wolves will head on the road to wrap up the weekend with stops in Owen Sound and Guelph for the only times this season. The Wolves will face the Attack on Saturday at 7:30pm and the Storm on Sunday at 2:00pm.

Fans will notice some minor changes to the Ice in this Friday’s contest as the Ice will be prepared for the CIBC Canada Russia CHL game.  With one week until the Feature game, the Greater Sudbury Community welcomes the nation and national coverage on Rogers’ Sportsnet.
