(Greater Sudbury, ON) Wolves Hockey Community Practice is back! The Sudbury Wolves will practice in the Tom Davies Arena, located in the community of Walden, from 4:30 – 6:30pm on Tuesday November 6th. The Wolves will do a regular team practice from 4:30-5:45 followed by a community skate with the Wolves for youth in the Lively area.
This will be the second community practice held this season featuring music, giveaways, autographs and every youth’s favourite, Howler. “Anytime our organization can engage the community and bring the team into the rinks that our fans and youth regularly practice and play in, it’s a good thing,” said Associate Coach Darryl Moxam, who grew up in the Walden Minor Hockey System and is an Alumni of the Sudbury Wolves. “We did this in Hanmer last month and the players had a lot of fun with it. The kids have a great time and get to see how hard the players work in practice and how that leads to the successful results in games.”
The Wolves defended the den over the weekend as they beat the Erie Otters 6-1, and the North Bay Battalion 4-3, on Friday night and Sunday afternoon. It was a busy weekend as the Wolves Organization paid tribute to Rod Schutt by retiring his number 8 jersey and held pre-game Remembrance Day ceremony prior to Sunday’s match.
