Wolves Kick Off 4 Game Home Stand Wednesday Against Greyhounds

(Sudbury, ON)  The Sudbury Wolves will look to get back in the win column this Wednesday night as they kick off a four-game home stand against Northern rivals, the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.  This home stand comes at a pivotal point in the Wolves’ young season as the team has demonstrated some solid hockey through the first 10 games. Flashes of brilliance coupled with moments of breakdown that opposition teams have taken advantage of, have left the team on the wrong side of four one-goal losses.  The Wolves will return to double header action this weekend at the Sudbury Arena as they host the Sarnia Sting for the one and only time this season on Friday Night and the Kingston Frontenac’s on Saturday night. All three games have a 7:05pm puck drop.

The Greyhounds line-up features seven NHL prospects including Philadelphia Flyers 2017 first round draft pick Morgan Frost.  The rare Wednesday contest is sponsored by the United Way 211 and marks the only mid-week home game this season as well as game two of the Bell Challenge Cup where the Greyhounds lead by a point.

The Wolves will return to action on Friday night against the high-flying Sting, the hottest team in the CHL, who are led upfront by Calgary Flames prospect Adam Ruzicka and St. Louis Blues prospect Jordan Kyrou. Friday’s game is sponsored by Laking Toyota who will have their brand-new line-up of 2018 vehicles on hand.

The Wolves will wrap up their busy week on Saturday when the Kingston Frontenacs also make their only appearance of the season in Greater Sudbury. Conor Ali will make his return to the Sudbury Arena since joining the Frontenacs last week. Saturday’s game is sponsored CAA who will be on hand with prizes and giveaways for fans.
