Capobianco Named to Team Canada U18

The Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club are proud to announce that 17-year-old defenceman KYLE CAPOBIANCO has been named to Team Canada’s U18 team. Capobianco will join his fellow teammates in Switzerland to prepare for the prestigious IIHF event.   Capobianco was selected 6th overall by the Sudbury Wolves in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection. In his first two seasons with the Sudbury Wolves, the Mississauga native has been named as the Wolves’ Top Rookie, Top Defenceman and Most Valuable Player. Capobianco won the 2013 OHL Cup as a member of the Oakville Rangers Minor AAA Midget team.

“We are extremely proud of Kyle” notes Wolves’ President and GM Blaine Smith. “Kyle has flown a little under the radar this year, yet, he has quietly developed into one of the best young defencemen in the Canadian Hockey League.   We know that Kyle has what it takes to be a leader on Team Canada and we know that he will represent the Sudbury Wolves and the Ontario Hockey League extremely well on the world stage in Switzerland.”
