Drake Berehowsky – Associate Coach


Drake Berehowsky is entering his second season as Associate Coach with the Wolves and oversees the Wolves’ blueline. Prior to joining the Wolves, Berehowsky served as Head Coach for the WHL’s Lethbridge Hurricanes for two seasons. Drake also served as Head Coach of the ECHL’s Orlando Solar Bears for the 2012-13 season and was an assistant coach with the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League from 2009 to 2012. In addition, he previously had stints as an assistant coach with the Colts and Battalion of the OHL for three seasons.

Prior to coaching, Berehowsky had a tremendous playing career. He played in the OHL for four seasons, splitting time  between the Kingston Frontenacs and North Bay Centennials. He was drafted 10th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1990 NHL Draft. He went on to play over 500 games in the NHL over 12 seasons for several different teams, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins, Edmonton Oilers, Nashville Predators, Phoenix Coyotes and Vancouver Canucks. During his time in the NHL, Berehowsky totaled 37 goals, 112 assists and 149 points, while averaging just less than 20 minutes per game.

Drake lives in Sudbury with his Lori and six children – Duke, Dawson, Dalton, Dylan, Daniel & Diesel.
