The 2012 Perkins Coaching Clinic wrapped up at the Sudbury Community Arena on Saturday, December 1st and was a huge success. Approximately 20 minor hockey coaches from the Sudbury region were on hand for the clinic.
Minor hockey coach Daniel Cholette called the Perkins Coaching Clinic “Something that coaches, at all levels, should attend at least once in their coaching careers.
The Clinic was composed of three components, which included a first hand look at a Sudbury Wolves’ practice, a coaching presentation by Wolves Head Coach Trent Cull, and Assistant Coaches David Bell & Jason Young as well as a question and answer period. Lunch was also provided for all coaches in attendance courtesy of Perkins.
Rayside Balfour Minor Midget coach, Jim Lundrigan says that this is his third year attending the Perkins Coaching Clinic. “The camp was very informative. I encourage all minor hockey coaches attend the camp next year,” he added.
All coaches were presented with an information package created by the Sudbury Wolves coaching staff that outlined several drills and tips for coaches to utilize during their team’s practices.
The Sudbury Wolves would like to thank Perkins Restaurant and Bakery for sponsoring this great event as well as the coaches for attending.
