Northern Hockey Academy Inc. Joins Partnership with SWSE

(Greater Sudbury, ON) SWSE in conjunction with the Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club and the Sudbury Five Basketball Club are very excited to announce their partnership with Northern Hockey Academy Inc. (NHA) beginning the 2023-24 season. This partnership is committed to building a relationship to develop and grow grassroots hockey and basketball, and to increase participation of NHA and SWSE initiatives within Greater Sudbury.

”We are very excited to partner with NHA,” said Sudbury Wolves Vice President and General ManagerRob Papineau. “It is a first-class facility and we have been extremely impressed with the ownership, the management, the staff, and the facility. Our players and coaches are very fortunate to be able to have access to NHA as the preferred training centre of the Sudbury Wolves.”

“This exciting partnership will enhance our programming growth and resource base tremendously and increases our ability to support local minor hockey. We cannot wait to get started,” said Owner of Northern Hockey Academy (NHA) Blake Didone. “This partnership agreement will further strengthen opportunities for both hockey and basketball athletes of all ages and skill levels to develop their skill base and training program at NHA. The Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club, Sudbury Five Basketball Club, and SWSE’s vision for community engagement and promoting the game of hockey and basketball to our city’s youth is perfectly aligned with the mission statement of Northern Hockey Academy.”

“The NHA brilliant design facilitates numerous sports all under one roof,” said SWSE COO Bob Johnston. “This provides an opportunity to create a much more enjoyable and rewarding experience for participants in full day multi-sport camps and clinics. In addition, this partnership will also broaden the scope of SWSE’s efforts to connect with vulnerable youth in the Sudbury community, which is an important priority of our organization.”

As part of the partnership SWSE, Sudbury Wolves, and Sudbury Five have made a commitment to provide significant funds, hockey and basketball tickets, fundraising opportunities, and other community initiatives to support Northern Hockey Academy.
