Wolves Acquire 6th Round Pick in 2024

(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Wolves announce that they have traded defenceman, Payton Robinson to the Guelph Strom in exchange for Guelph’s 2024 6th round pick. Payton played 65 games for the Wolves where he registered 9 points (1G-8A) during the 2021-22 season.

“We would like to thank Payton for everything he did as a Sudbury Wolf. He has tremendous character and was a great teammate. We wish Payton all the best in Guelph,” said Rob Papineau, Sudbury Wolves VP and General Manager. “With the number of defencemen we have under contract, this move will allow our other players more opportunity.”

The Sudbury Wolves organization would like to wish Payton the best of luck in Guelph and with his future hockey career.

Fans can also get an early look at the team when training camp opens on August 29th in advance of the Wolves’ 50th anniversary. Season memberships are on sale now at sudburywolves.com or by visiting the Sudbury Arena Box Office in-person.

The Wolves will open the 2022-23 regular season at home on Friday, September 30th as they host the Barrie Colts. Fans can follow the Wolves on the road with live play-by-play on CKLU 96.7 or mixler.com/sudburywolves. Single game tickets go on-sale for pre-season and regular season games in early September.
