Wolves Acquire Rights to Hage

(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to announce they have acquired the rights to forward Michael Hage from the Kitchener Rangers in exchange for a 4th round draft selection in 2025, and conditional draft picks in the 2nd round of 2026, 3rd round in the 2024 draft and 4th round in the 2026 draft.

“We are thrilled to be able to add Michael’s rights to our hockey club,” said Sudbury Wolves VP & General Manager Rob Papineau. “He was one of the top U16 players in the country last season and a guy our hockey club was very high on. Michael brings elite skating and puck skills to go along with a very high-end play making ability. He is always a threat to score when on the ice. Being able to talk to Michael, his family and advisors is something we look forward to doing and we hope at some point we will be able to make him a Sudbury Wolf.”

He was the 9th overall pick by the Rangers in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection and currently plays for the Chicago Steel of the USHL. In 57 games last season with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens U16 AAA, Hage had 46 goals and 70 assists for 116 points.

The Wolves will kick off the home portion of their pre-season schedule on Tuesday September 20th at 7:05pm when they host the Barrie Colts. They will also host the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in pre-season action on Friday September 23rd at 7:05pm before they open their 50th anniversary season at 7:05pm on Friday September 30th against the Barrie Colts.
