Wolves Host Gens & Battalion in Home Opener Weekend

The Sudbury Wolves will kick-off a brand-new season this Friday night as they host the Oshawa Generals at 7:05pm at the Sudbury Arena. It’s a double-header weekend as they will return to home ice on Sunday at 2:00pm when Central division rivals, the North Bay Battalion visit Greater Sudbury. The Wolves will don their new jerseys Friday night for the first time and fans will be treated to a new in-game experience that will delight and entertain.

The Generals roster features Riley Stillman, son of Wolves Head Coach Cory Stillman who will face off from opposite benches for the first time. The Wolves will also be looking for revenge after the Generals ousted them in game 6 of the playoffs last season.

Friday’s game is sponsored by Desjardins Card Services who will be on hand in front of the arena prior to the game with prizes for fans that participate in their shoot-out contest.  Fans can show Desjardins Visa or MasterCard and will have the chance to watch the game from the Desjardins suite. Don’t miss the Desjardins Puzzle Making contest during the second intermission. Come early and enjoy live music prior to the game.

The Wolves will return to the ice Sunday afternoon to host Highway 17 East rival, the North Bay Battalion. Sunday’s game is sponsored by local Your Independent Grocer stores (Vrab’s Chris’s, Chartrand’s, Battistelli’s and Neil’s) who will be on-hand to make the $100 gift certificate draws from the pocket schedule ballots. Don’t miss the Your Independent Grocer Shopping Cart race during the second intermission where one lucky fan will win a great prize.  Weather permitting, the Sudbury Wolves will also hold a Fan Appreciation BBQ event on Sunday prior to the game beginning at Noon where there will be free hot dogs and live entertainment prior to the game.

The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to launch WOLVES WEB WEDNESDAY this season where fans can purchase tickets for any regular season game online from 12am – 11:59pm on Wednesdays only using the promo code GOWOLVES and the following link: This will allow fans to beat the box office and receive online tickets at box office prices!
