Wolves on the Road this Weekend and Return to Home Ice Wednesday

(GREATER SUDBURY, ON) The Sudbury Wolves are on the road this weekend with their first stop in Peterborough last night where the Wolves defeated the Petes 6-4. The Wolves travel to Kingston tonight to face off against the Frontenacs and wrap up the weekend in Ottawa against the 67’s on Sunday.

The Wolves opened the weekend on the road last night and picked up a big 6-4 win over the Petes. Evan Konyen, Quentin Musty and David Goyette all had standout games. David Goyette now sits 10th in top 10 in the OHL in goals, while Quentin Musty sits 12th in the league for assist. Both Goyette and Musty sit among the top 30 in the league for points at 19th and 27th respectively.

Wednesday, the Wolves return home to kick off a four-game homestand by hosting their highway 17 rival, the North Bay Battalion. Puck drop is set for 7:05pm. Following Wednesday’s tilt, the Pack welcomes the Owen Sound Attack on Friday and the Niagara Ice Dogs on Sunday.

Wednesday’s game is sponsored by College Boreal who will be on hand with prizes and giveaways throughout the game for fans!

The North Bay Battalion come to Sudbury for the first time this season. The Battalion have plenty of talent on their roster as their team features eight NHL prospects including Justin Ertel (DAL), Liam Arnsby (FLA), newly-acquired Josh Bloom (BUF), Matvey Petrov (EDM), Kyle Jackson (SEA), Tnias Mathurin (DET), Ty Nelson (SEA) and Dom DiVincentiis (WPG). Goaltender Dom DiVincentiis ranks fourth in the OHL for goals against average with 2.70. Matvey Petrov leads the team in points with 25 on the season.
