Wolves Professional Achievements

Wolves Players are continuing to tally up points in their respective leagues and have proven to be key additions to their teams.
Isaak Phillips- On February 24th, Isaak recorded his first professional multi-point game. He had an assist and scored the game-winning goal. With 93 seconds left in the third period in a 2-2 game, Isaak stepped into a one-timer and put it past the Cleveland Monsters goalie. Isaak’s stellar night earned him 3rd star of the game and helped lead the IceHogs to their first win of the season. Isaak has looked comfortable playing in the AHL. Through his first five games he has 2 goals and one assist. The Barrie, ON native in two seasons with the Wolves has played in 131 games, scoring 12 goals and adding 28 helpers.

Blake Murray- Blake has continued to consistently find the scoresheet with the Surahammars IF in the HokceyEttan League. On February 21st, Blake had two goals which led his team to win their 6th game in a row and top of their division. Now 12 games into his season in Sweden, the Carolina Hurricanes prospect has 6 goals and 11 assists. In his 3 seasons with the Wolves, Blake had 166 points and during his rookie season in 2017/2018, he led the entire team in points.

Jack Thompson- Currently playing in Sweden with Surahammars IF alongside Wolves teammate, Blake Murray, Jack has been producing over a point per game. In Jack’s 14 games he has managed to score 9 goals, including a hat-trick, 7 assists and is currently leading his team in +/- with a plus 14. The Tampa Bay Lightning’s 3rd round draft pick in 2020 has looked very comfortable so far in Sweden. With the help from Jack and Blake, the Surhammars IF broke a team record on February 24th for most consecutive wins in a row which now sits at 7.

Frederik Dichow- One of the Wolves players acquired in the 2019 CHL Import Draft is coming off a great game with the Odense Bulldogs in the Metal Ligaen League in Denmark. On February 19th Frederik helped lead his team to a 4-1 win stopping 32 of 33 shots. His strong performance helped him earn a spot on the Leagues Team of the Week. In his 2 games played so far this season, Frederik has a .925 save percentage.

Quinton Byfield- Currently playing with the Ontario Reign of the AHL, Quinton has been able to average 0.5 points per game. In his eight games played, he has scored his first professional goal and tallied 3 assists which has earned him 2nd in points on the team by a rookie. Quinton is the youngest player on the Reign, and has been able to make a positive impact with the team.
