Sudbury Wolves’ Blake Murray is looking to build off a successful first two rounds of the Memorial eCup presented by Kia in the Stinger Division. Blake Murray came out victorious in his matchup against Victoriaville Tigres on Tuesday. The hunt for #KiaCHLeCup continues this Saturday, Dec.12th at 4:30pm, as Blake Murray gets set to play the Baie-Comeau Drakkar, Gabriel Belley-Pelletier.
A slow opening 20 saw Blake Murray finally breakthrough late in the period with a Kosta Manikis goal off a smooth feed from Quinton Byfield. Byfield, who recorded four goals in the Wolves’ opening-round victory, would continue to find the scoresheet in the middle frame adding another assist on a Kalle Loponen shorthanded marker before scoring his own to extend the Wolves lead to 4-1 headed to the third. Byfield would add two more bingos in the third period to cap off a strong three-goal, two-assist performance for the Wolves in a 6-1 win over Félix Paré and the Victoriaville Tigres.
Join us and watch Blake Murray in round three where the Sudbury Wolves face Baie-Comeau Drakkar. Make sure to watch all the Wolves’ action as Murray takes to the controls in Round 3 of the KiaCHLeCup!
