Wolves Host Battalion & Steelheads

The Wolves will put their impressive 13 game home regulation unbeaten streak (8-0-3-2) on the line Friday night when their divisional rivals the Brampton Battalion make their final visit to the Nickel City this season. The Battalion jumped out to a 4-3 lead in the season series on Sunday afternoon with one game to play as they defeated the Wolves by a score of 4-1 on home ice. With the win, the Battalion moved to within one point of the 4th place Wolves in the Eastern Conference standings. An all-out battle between the two clubs is expected as they battle for home ice advantage throughout the first round of the playoffs. The Battalion are led in scoring by rookie standout BLAKE CLARKE who has posted 42 points in 51 games this season. 400 North Bay fans are expected to be in attendance at Friday’s game as “The Fox” radio station will be sending fan buses to Sudbury for a preview of the renewed northern rivalry!

 Friday’s game is sponsored by CAMPBELL’S who will be on hand with prizes for lucky fans! Don’t miss CAMPBELL’S “Shopping Cart Challenge” during the first intermission! Catch the TIM HORTONS mini game during the second intermission featuring youngsters from the Nickel Centre Minor Hockey Association.

 The Wolves will return to the ice Saturday evening for VALE’S ANNUAL SUDBURY SATURDAY NIGHT! Saturday game will feature another can’t miss divisional rivalry, as the Wolves will face-off against the Mississauga Steelheads. The Steelheads are led up front by RILEY BRACE who has posted an impressive 62 points in 50 games this season. The Toronto Maple Leaf’s 2011 first round pick STUART PERCY patrols the backend for the Steelheads and is a key contributor at both ends of the ice.

 A special cheque presentation will be made on VALE’S behalf to the MAISON VALE HOSPICE during the first intermission. The second intermission will take it up a notch as the SHAFT BOTTOM BOYS will return to centre ice for a can’t miss performance! A VALE t-shirt toss will also take place during the second intermission.
